Enable Biosciences Clinical Reference Lab Accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP)

Enable Biosciences Inc. announces that its clinical lab, Enable Biosciences Clinical Reference Lab, has been accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP). CAP accreditation is awarded to labs that have achieved the highest standards of accuracy, reproducibility, and scientific innovation following a rigorous inspection by laboratory professionals.

"We're very happy to have achieved CAP accreditation", said Lynette Sawyer, DPH, Enable Biosciences' lab director. "It's been an unusually long process because of the pandemic, but we are proud to have earned accreditation by this organization that is truly a champion of clinical laboratory excellence."

CAP is a private accreditation organization that performs inspections on behalf of the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services to ensure high-quality laboratory testing services for patients, especially for high-complexity and innovative laboratories.

Enable Biosciences’ Clinical Reference Lab provides clinical and research testing services for autoimmune and infectious diseases. It is the primary laboratory supporting CalScope, California’s largest COVID serosurveillance program and T1Detect, a nation-wide screening program for risk for type 1 diabetes.
